A few fun #designinspo highlights from our time in London. One of the things we loved about London’s local brands was the humor and irreverence many of the brands had, specifically in naming. We loved seeing some of the names of the businesses - Slug & Lettuce, Sleazy Pizza, Sweaty Betty’s (exercise clothing), Shrine to the Vine, and American Car Wash just to list a few.
We also noticed a lot of dimensional signage - really creative displays with signs that spin in the wind, walls of different colored boxing gloves for a boxing gym, businesses turning their signage into extensions of their brands and creative installations.

A few weeks back, Dean and I got to take a trip to the UK and the #designnerd in me collected some fun design inspiration through out the trip that I’d like to share with you all this week. Today I’m just sharing some fun highlights of London and Edinburgh - Big Ben (it was still under construction), Churchill’s War Rooms (where he delivered all of his radio speeches), the Beatrix Potter exhibit, the Edinburgh Castle, Victoria St. (inspo for Potter’s Diagon Alley) and a few more.
Tomorrow I’ll share some design and signage inspo from London.
We also made a pretty in-depth Google map for each city so DM us if you’d like access to that Google maps if you’re planning on a trip to either city anytime soon.

These delicious mini cookies bring all of the style, with none of the guilt so you can #treatyourself. We designed the bags to balance a fun, flirty vibe with a touch of luxe. Each flavor has its own unique gradient color mesh and beige pattern.

Signage design mock up for the Hot Dog King that is in the works for their Arden location. We try to mock up and show examples of the materials to our clients prior to executing fabrication so they can get a better idea of the design, materials, scale and fabrication needs.
This concept incorporated layering up acrylic to give it a more artistic, dimensional look. The specials section at the bottom of the sign lets them highlight weekly specials in addition to the hot dogs.

We had fun working on some #labeldesigns for @pulp

We had fun working on some #labeldesigns for @pulpandsprout_avl. With the glass supply chain shortage right now, they needed a label design that could be turned vertical or horizontal and fit onto 3 different bottles - round square and barrel. It was a bit of a challenge, but going with a slim, vertical design allowed it to work for all three and easily be flipped.

Final few #productphotography images for @faenectar.
The mead honey wine branding and packaging design is loosely based on a fable that Fae Nectar composed about two rival fae kingdoms once at war for generations, coming together in peace and celebration through the ancient act of mead making.
The illustration features two fae holding amphora mead vessels being poured into a unity chalice. The style was intentionally illustrated to feel a bit earthy and vintage. The beige paper comes through as light in the darkness and high contrast of the forest green. Gold foil was added through out the illustration for pops of shine and luxe that lead the eye through the hierarchy of the design.
