All Day Darling

Originally Tod’s Tasties, a Montford neighborhood institution, Jacob Sessoms and his collaborators wanted to update the restaurant concept and re-brand to something that felt like an indoor/outdoor open space and served an all day menu.
They also updated the beverage menu in their collaboration with Jay Weatherly of High Five Coffee. We wanted to create a brand that highlighted this partnership as well as promote the day to night menu theme.
We offered name consulting services on the name options the team had developed. They wanted All Day Darling to feel sunny, calm and playful. To support the all day concept, we were inspired by a 1970s Southern Californian skateboard/surf aesthetic for this cool and open space.
The logo plays with sunshine and water while the supporting illustrations are loose in their styling and hint at the differentiation of the restaurant. Overall, the brand, interior design and web presence all work together to give off chill, good vibes.
