A few months into opening their retail location, Poppy Hand-crafted Popcorn approached us to help strategize in diversifying their product offering. We worked together to craft a CPG brand and packaging design system that would excite their customer base, and position them for wholesale growth. This women-owned, women-led team knew they wanted something joyful and modern, but weren’t exactly sure where to start, or what would appeal to a national market.
With over seven years of the Poppy market bag packaging in circulation, this Asheville-grown brand has taken the US gift market by storm. From airports and luxury hotels to grocery store chains and being featured on Good Morning America, Poppy Handcrafted Popcorn can be found and enjoyed in over 1,200+ locations nationwide.

We worked with Poppy Handcrafted Popcorn to develop a colorful and whimsical packaging brand experience that reflects the quirky and fun nature of the product in a recognizable and consistent manner that could be carried out through all of their flavors. The brand sparks curiosity and looks like a party favor.
Within the first six years, Poppy annually doubled its revenue selling seven figures as a gourmet snack and popcorn packaging brand. The brand is carried in William Sonoma, Food 52, Anthropologie, Bloomingdale’s, Union Square Holiday Market, Mouth and much more.
