Restaurant Branding

Eldr is Old Norse for the word “fire.” The brand vision and hospitality revolve around the idea that fire brings people together for community, warmth, and good food. We explored the property’s rich history and its original use as the American craft movement of Biltmore Industries.

The dogwood logo symbolizes new growth, resilience, and moving forward in one’s life. Biltmore Industries’ dogwood products were their top-selling, wood-carved home goods. The eldr typeface was inspired by a lot of vintage typography found on the property in old photos of signage and their furniture catalogs.
